LG GD900
PHoto

When I visited the LG booth at CES Unveiled, I found it odd that LG didn’t really have any new models to show, except for that blinged-out Bluetooth Headset. The company has recently unveiled the LG GD900, a concept phone that is transparent.

This see-through phone debuted at the GSMA World Congress, and is not as invisible as the publicists says it is. The screen is not transparent, because I’m assuming we couldn’t do that, even with a giant-sized screen.

Yes, the technology may not be there for the transparent screen, but it is for the invisible keypad. In fact, I’m told that the keypad will glow in the dark.

Beyond that, we don’t really have much information on this product, except that it has two cameras, one on the front and one on the back. Also, LG plans to market an “accompanying Bluetooth headset”, but I don’t know if that would be transparent.

I hope it is, because I am looking forward to the age of transparent phones. Could this be the new aesthetic for mobile technology? If so, then let’s make some transparent MP3 players, or GPS devices. Anything else you want done over with a transparent makeover? Chime in with a comment if you do.

Full specs on this product are due out some time in the spring, and there is no word of a price or any projected availability. cellphones,hi-tech cellphones, latest cellphones, cellphones, expensive cellphones, cool cellphones, nokia cellphones, sony ericson latest cellphones,LG cellphones, cellphones
